Get ready for an exciting summer of “Breathtaking” events!

Hooray!  Our publisher, Falcon, has given us a firm release date for our book Breathtaking. June 15, 2022. And we’re off planning another set of exciting Eber adventures. This time, we’re inviting you to join us! Mark your calendars for the following dates.

June 18 is our book launch party for sponsors. This party is for all of our former sponsors and many friends who worked hard on making the world ride and this book happen. Look for invitations soon. This is your party to thank you for everything. We’ll have great food, drink, fun slides and funny stories about your contributions (and struggles) trying to support a crazy cycling family pedaling around the world and making you read (rather awful) early drafts of a book about our adventures.  Oh, and of course copies of the book will be available (at a big sponsor discount).

Thursday June 16 at 6:30 p.m. Book talk at Eagle Harbor Books, Bainbridge Island. If you aren’t a sponsor, we still would love to celebrate with local friends and supporters. We’ll be holding a talk (with free rides on the historic world pedaling Burley tandem) at Eagle Harbor Books. At the end of June, the fun really begins! We’re planning a Bike and Book speaking tour from Seattle to San Diego, pedaling the book (pun intended) along the way. We’re inviting all of you to join us on our first day of cycling from Seattle through Vashon Island. We’ll start by sailing off from Bainbridge Island to Seattle and then catch the ferry to Vashon, where we’ll pedal south to the Fort Defiance ferry to Tacoma. Vashon is a beautiful island and those of you who join us can enjoy cycling round the rest of the island back to the Seattle ferry once Lorenz and I have sailed off to Tacoma.  Email us if you’re interested in pedaling along.

July -Sept 2022. We’ll be posting our schedule and upcoming events on our Book Tour page on our website. Hopefully, since some of you live near our route, we can visit and catch up. Most exciting of all, we are offering a limited number of spots for friends and sponsors to pedal a part of the route with us—for a day, an overnight or a few days! If that’s something you would like to do, let us know. It’s going to be a great finale ride. And you deserve to be a part of it.
